Land Development Interns
Urban, Ltd. is seeking current Civil Engineering majors for paid internships in our Annandale & Chantilly, Virginia office during summer 2025. Exact internship duration and schedule can be tailored to fit the qualified individual's needs. Successful senior or graduate-level interns have often transitioned to full-time Project Engineer positions and increased compensation without further interviews or hiring processes upon graduation.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Perform civil engineering design and calculations related to site development and transportation projects.
- Provide support to design teams in the completion of civil engineering construction documents.
- Prepare exhibits, details, and technical drawings using AutoCAD, GIS, or other software noted below.
Requirements/Preferences:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Masters level program in Civil Engineering.
- Ability to work a minimum of 36 hours per week during normal business hours in the summer.
- Prior internships or coursework related to land development is a plus.
Desired Computer Skills:
- AutoCAD and Civil3D.
- ArcGIS
- Microsoft Office.
