Social Media and Community Events Coordinator

The Fred W. Albrecht Grocery Company, DBA: Acme Fresh Markets (“Company”) is a privately held company headquartered in Akron, Ohio with 16 grocery stores in Northeast Ohio. Acme has been feeding the families of Northeast Ohio for over 130 years.

Acme is seeking a Social Media and Community Events Coordinator.  This role is responsible for managing various aspects of our community engagement, including social media, events, and ensuring a consistent and positive brand image.  The goal of this position is to grow sales by increasing brand awareness through community engagement.

Job Responsibilities

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Increase engagement and collaboration across all platforms.
  • Create and/or curate content across Acme’s 6 social media brand pillars and develop and implement social media content calendar.
  • Monitor social media channels for brand mentions and engage with the community in a timely and professional manner.
  • Encourage and facilitate user-generated content and community participation.

 Event Planning and Execution:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute community events, both online and offline, to foster connections the in the communities where Acme Fresh Market operates stores.
  • Identify and build relationships with key community partners, influencers, customers, and brand advocates with the goal of executing community events (in-store, online, or in the community).

 Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of community initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports on community engagement, sentiment, and growth for internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare event recaps and overviews.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Community Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of social media content creation platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Grocery retail experience is a plus.
