Analyst for Performance & Operations Planning

The Analyst for Performance & Operations Planning reports to the Sr. Performance Analyst and will work with key stakeholders to provide support to and insights on current operations, and analytical performance data reporting. Daily reporting techniques will be facilitated using Spotfire and other data visual programs. As the Analyst, you will be expected to report real time data to Senior Level Leadership.

 

 

How you will make an impact:

 

  • Create and uphold decision support, operations research, statistical, simulation, and spreadsheet models. These models enhance business processes, boost operational efficiencies, facilitate trade-off evaluations, and enable superior decision-making.
  • Responsible for supporting the enhancement of resource utilization and operational effectiveness.
  • Mine, model, analyze and evaluate operational data to identify root cause factors impacting network reliability.
  • Monitor and track operational performance and flight delay information.
  • Provide periodic reports to the operations departments by outlining trends and anomalies.
  • Identify gaps in current business processes and reengineer them for efficiency through analytical modeling, process reengineering, process control measurements and technology solutions.
  • Make recommendations for corrective action to improve operational performance.
  • Develop analytical frameworks for creating metrics, goals, and continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop and enhance data warehouse infrastructure to support reporting initiatives and automation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reporting systems and dashboards to track and visualize performance in the form of graphs, charts, tables and scorecards.
  • Automate reporting capabilities and data extraction methods to build in process efficiencies that minimize manual analyses.
  • Act as an owner of enterprise performance data, serving as main contact point for operational data requests and statistical analyses.
  • Perform value added ad-hoc analysis as requested by operational departments and senior leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned to support objectives through initiatives and special projects.

What you will bring:

 

Experience/Competencies

 

  • 2+ years Airport Operations experience required (5+ years preferred)
  • 2+ years performance Analyst experience preferred

 

Knowledge/Skills: 

 

  • Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills
  • Crisp and creative written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively connect across all levels of the organization
  • Tech savvy and computer proficient (Spotfire/Tableau, MS Office, Advanced Excel user etc.)
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Some travel (depending on business need)

 

 Education:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or equivalent experience

 

Compensation:

 

Base Salary range: $55,000- $57,000 (L7) annually

 

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
