Technical Marketing Intern
Position Overview:
As a DigiKey Intern, you will participate in various aspects of the DigiKey department of which you are assigned. You will work alongside team members and have the opportunity to complete a capstone project which you’ll work on throughout the internship.
The Technical Intern for Digi-Key will assist the team to develop technical projects and content that helps further our engagement with our maker/startup community. This can include creation of projects, 3D print designs, workshops, blog posts, and videos that show supplier products in-use. With Digi-Key’s wide selection of products the intern may develop and architect solutions by combining products from multiple vendors and create engaging projects, tutorials, and blog posts. The intern will also assist Digi-Key Technical Marketing Content Developers to generate technical content that is electronically delivered on the web with customer needs as the key goal.
Housing: Local campus housing (private room, private bath, and shared living space) is provided for interns selecting Thief River Falls as their internship home base. We are unable to provide housing for Bloomington-based internships.
This is a hybrid or essential onsite role, which will require onsite attendance
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate the ability to self-learn new products/devices and master their operations quickly
Work independently and able to meet project milestones/deadlines in a remote office environment
Identify, develop, collect, and organize technical content that is deployed online for customer engineers to learn about and apply devices that Digi-Key sells. A partial list of technical content includes: Digital Calculators, application notes, tutorials, circuit designs, technical videos, links to other Digi-Key website content, articles, lists of complementary and alternative devices, etc.
Assist with content curation and working together with marketing leadership to ensure the technical content is on point with Digi-Key branding
Assist with technical content creation to drive engagement and quality leads
Create and curate technical content for various areas on the company website
Maintain technical competence through research, supplier trainings, and hands on learning
Provide suggestions and feedback on site features, functionality, and content to improve the customer experience
Manage multiple projects effectively and meet tight deadlines

Requirements/Skills:
Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
Currently enrolled as an undergrad student in pursuit of an electrical, electronic, or computer engineer degree
Ability to create, develop, and prototype electrical or electronic circuits
Ability to code at a high level in Python, Arduino, and more
Ability to work independently or in a team while managing multiple projects
Understand the usage and operation of basic lab equipment including oscilloscopes, lab power supplies, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, and signal generators
Understanding of Junior year level electronics, preferably basic knowledge of: microprocessors/controllers, voltage regulators, RLC concepts, transistors (Bi-Polar and FETs), analog and digital design
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a helpful customer service orientation
High organization and office software skills

Physical Requirements:
Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and screen
