Group Treasury is responsible for managing and deploying the Bank’s liquidity, funding, capital, and financial resources in line with regulatory requirements and the Bank’s risk appetite. We work commercially with our partners creating sustainable value by balancing the supply and demand of liquidity and capital. 

About the programme

 

You will be supported and launched into a banking career on a global scale through our 18-month graduate programme. During this time, you’ll meet peers and senior executives from across the Group, creating networks that will accelerate your career growth. Our training programme will enable you to develop your technical, business, and interpersonal skills through real-world experience and hands-on training. Future skill development is a key priority for the Bank, and by investing in our Early Careers programmes, we're committed to changing the way banking works for the better. 

When you join the Bank in the Treasury team, you’ll join one of the following specialties.  You’ll learn more about each during our assessment process to determine which best suits your skills, attributes and interests.

Markets 
In Markets, you’ll support how the region develops and executes a strategy for optimal management of the Bank’s balance sheet and liquidity in line with Bank’s overall strategy.
 
Capital 
Here you’ll assist in setting strategy, execution and management of capital issuances including relationships with debt investors, as well as supporting with management of the Bank’s credit ratings. 
 
Liquidity 
Here you’ll support digitalisation workstreams related to balance sheet optimisation, predictive analytics and forecasting in addition to partaking in business forums that focus on balance sheet usage.

Eligibility

 

We welcome students from all degree disciplines with excellent academic records and encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds. You’ll be a final year student, able to start in July 2025, with the permanent legal right to work in the country you’re applying to.

 

We’re looking for team players who are agile, flexible, multi-tasking and open to nimble learning.

•    For US Graduate roles, we will not consider applicants seeking Optional Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) employment.
