Intern - Business Partner Insights and Solutions (Summer 2025)

The Business Partner Management team at United Airlines works to support the operation where we hire business partners to perform the work. These can include critical services like Cabin Appearance and Wheelchair Service. The team works cross-functionally with many workgroups across the enterprise including Safety, Airport Operations, Customer Satisfaction, Network Planning, Inflight, Environmental Affairs, as well as Marketing, Onboard Planning and many others.

Interns are fully immersed in our culture and given meaningful project work that will innovate, transform, and improve operational processes using project management, data analysis skills to provide insights and solutions to problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills, in particular PowerPoint for storytelling.
  • Data analysis
  • Creativity and innovative thinking in developing solutions to complex business problems.
  • Ability to document and present technical information from the business problem definition to the implementation stage in a way that effectively addresses varying levels of management and different audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork
  • Successful completion of the interview is required to meet job qualification.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • Travel as needed for observing operational processes up to 50%.
  • Position is based in Chicago.
