Software Test Intern

Position Purpose:

A high energy and driven intern to add to our Software Test team. The Software Test Intern will work alongside our Software Test team with a focus on scaling up our testing device count.

Education & Experience

  • Working toward a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Enrolled in a degree program.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities are continuously shifting.
  • High levels of creative and quick problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Desire to learn, ask questions and develop new skills and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with Software Test team members on onboarding improvement projects .
  • Evaluate automated testing results of Enterprise software requirements.
  • Configure and maintain hardware including AvaSure test devices, ethernet cables, and HPE Aruba switches.
  • Ensure that PCs and servers are patched monthly and tested against the latest Generally Available software versions.
  • Follow software test plans for regression testing of each Enterprise software release.
  • Report Enterprise software bugs and errors to the Software Engineering team.
  • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing of Enterprise software.
  • Provide progress updates for Available/Usable camera counts.
  • Documentation and troubleshooting.
  • Configure devices and assign IP addresses to devices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time and use a computer.
  • This position is an internship, 10-40 hours per week, starting in September, ending October-December

Pay:

  • Freshman/Sophomore: $16 per hour
  • Junior/Senior: $17 per hour
