Student Exhibitions and Curatorial Intern with The Wolfsonian–FIU
The Wolfsonian–FIU is hiring a paid Curatorial Intern for Spring 2025 as part of its Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)-supported initiative to open pathways to museum careers.
The Exhibitions and Curatorial Intern at The Wolfsonian–FIU will play a role in supporting various aspects of exhibition development. This internship offers an opportunity for hands-on training in the museum profession and provides an overview of museum exhibition operations. Tasks include preparing exhibition installation images for the website, archiving exhibition files, updating exhibition checklists with final text and images, updating upcoming exhibition checklists in Excel, and carry out some object research for the upcoming permanent collection galleries.
The Exhibitions and Curatorial Intern will:
- Gain an understanding of museum exhibition development.
- Engage in the inner workings of museum operations.
- Have access to Wolfsonian student enrichment activities such as career roundtables, a resume/cover letter writing workshop, and beyond.
This internship is held in person at 1001 Washington Ave, Miami Beach 33139.
The largest of FIU’s three museums, The Wolfsonian is an art and design research center in South Beach with a collection of more than 200,000 items from the modern age (1850–1950).
