Contact Representative

These positions serve as Contact Representative in a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) office Information Access Center, located in Klamath Falls and Medford, OR. The incumbent is responsible for the dissemination of factual information to the public on the BLM's multiple resource management program and services.

Duties

The position has the following roles and responsibilities:

• Primary contact for the dissemination of information to the public.
• Provides written and oral information to the public regarding Bureau of land Management (BLM) programs and ands.
• Works closely with United States Forest Service (USFS) public contact representative.
• Determines which inquiries can be handled personally or must be referred to others.
• Provides a positive link between the District and public.
• Collections: issues/sells special forest product permits, maps, etc.as needed and reconciles cash account, inputs transactions into federal Collections and Billings System (CBS).
