Intern - Facilities Engineer

Job Description

The Facilities Engineering internship is located in Manassas, Virginia. The duration of the internship will be from January - Aug 2025. In order to be qualified for the internship position, applicants must be willing to relocate to the Manassas area for the entirety of the internship and remain enrolled in coursework through their University.

Operations:

  • Reliability & Maintenance – Performs analysis and predicts equipment issues for facilities equipment and materials of construction to improve process safety, reliability and product quality.
  • Continuous Improvement – Develop and implement long improvements in equipment or processes that result in cost reduction, improved reliability and safety improvements
  • Quality – Analyzes ongoing system performance and data/charts, summarizes performance and resolution to system issues.

 

Projects:


- Technical – Provides process, materials, and/or equipment engineering technical expertise to operations and fab to improve safety and production performance.

  • Capital Projects/Studies – Performs engineering analyses, technical reviews, calculations, planning functions, scope analysis, general estimating, cost control and schedule oversight on capital projects.

Education

Qualified applicant must be perusing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant major.
