Administrative Specialist

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is looking for an administrative professional and/or recent graduate to fill an Administrative Support position in its People, Process and Technology team within the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit Division, which is responsible for supervising state member banks and bank holding companies within the Federal Reserve System's Ninth District.
In this role, you will be part of a team that provides administrative support to various business lines within the Division which could include tasks such as electronic document loading, travel support, data entry, and other administrative work to support the work of the Division. In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to participate in group projects, team and Division initiatives, and process improvement opportunities.

Onsite work is an essential function of this position, and you are expected to be in the office 3 days per week for meetings and team collaboration.
Essential Functions:
- Provides administrative support, which may include scheduling, meeting planning, making travel arrangements, routing/distributing mail, data entry, transcribing, proofreading, photocopying, scanning/imaging, preparing documents, and filing.
- Collects, compiles, records, or otherwise gathers data and prepares standard reports with information necessary for decision-making.
- Responds to inquiries for information, gather data, exchange factual information, prepares routine and custom reports, and composes correspondence and e-mails. This activity may include updating and maintaining information databases.
- Orders department office supplies and maintain department supply inventory.
- For advanced levels, may collect, enter, verify, and balance data in support of basic department accounting functions. You may be asked to prepare standard reports.
- Reviews processes and procedures for improvements and/or enhancements.
- Performs specialized or confidential administrative duties.
- For advanced levels, provides training to new and less-experienced employees.
- Participate in Division, Bank or FRS Project teams and work groups.
- Completes special assignments as needed.
- Performs other duties or responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Qualifications:
Administrative Specialist I: High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND one (1) to three (3) years of direct work-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND zero (0) to one (1) year of direct work-related experience.
Administrative Specialist II: High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND three (3) to five (5) years of direct work-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND one (1) to three (3) years of direct work-related experience.
- Proficient using a variety of software applications including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some post-secondary education with coursework in business or a related field preferred.
- Experience in a business operations or financial environment preferred.
Salary Range for Administrative Specialist I: $39,100 - $48,842 - $58,600
Salary Range for Administrative Specialist II: $43,900 - $54,915 - $65,900
