We are looking to add a Veterinary Technician to our team! Our Veterinary Technician would be responsible for the following duties:
Primary responsibilities included, but not limited to:
- Taking patient history
- Pharmacy duties
- Scribing and relaying doctor’s notes and recommendations
- Running lab work
- Filling prescription medications
- Performing x-rays
- Assisting with patient restraint
- Administering vaccines and medications
- Reception duties, including scheduling appointments
- Cleaning and packing instruments
- Preparing for medical and surgical cases
- Surgery Prep and Recovery
- Other duties as assigned
Desired skills/qualifications:
- Experience scribing medical records
- Experience with surgery and anesthesia
- Experience with exotics
- Experience with Pulse or other EMR
- Bilingual - specifically Spanish
Required skills/qualifications:
- Experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
- Knowledge of medical/veterinary terminology
- Knowledge of pet vaccines, preventatives and general veterinary careTeam focused
- High attention to detail
- Upbeat and adaptable with a positive attitude
- Excellent client communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Full vaccinations for COVID
- Able to lift up-to 50 pounds
Schedule:
- Day Shift
- Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday
- No nights
- No Sundays
Pay Range: $20 - $24 per hour depending on experience and licensure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
