Commercial Real Estate Transactions & Asset Management Summer Intern

Job Purpose

Assist with the underwriting and strategic management of the firm’s investments to maximize portfolio performance, asset values and investment returns. The role will rotate within the Asset Management and Transactions teams. 

Key Accountabilities

Asset Management Responsibilities :

  • Support all day-to-day function of the asset management team including:
  • Monitoring of asset performance, lease analyses as well as monitoring of renovation projects
  • Conduct market research
  • Prepare client reports (PowerPoint), including quarterly asset management reports, annual reports, fund/portfolio review presentations and other ad-hoc reports
  • Assist in updating Argus models and underwriting models to reflect asset performance and changes in the market environment
  • Monitor ESG objectives of the portfolio and contribute to ad-hoc ESG projects

Transactions :

  • Support day-to-day functions of the transaction team including:
  • Assistance preparing the underwriting for potential acquisitions
  • Weekly deal pipeline preparation
  • Traveling to see potential tri-state area acquisitions with team members if necessary
  • Investment Committee meeting minutes

 

Your Profile
 

Role Requirements 

Education/Qualifications 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in related major, finance degree a plus, with expected graduation in 2026 or 2027
  • Demonstrates a strong interest in finance and the asset / investment management industry

Experience

  • Relevant classwork in finance or commercial real estate a plus
  • Experience with direct asset management, portfolio management for equity real estate investments a plus
  • Cross cultural work experience a plus

 Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong presentation skills; oral and written
  • Spoken and written fluency in English required
  • Argus skills a plus

 The pay range for this position is $40-$47 per hour, for a duration of 8 weeks. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience, and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
