Engineering Intern

What you'll be challenged to do:

Our transportation specialists, located in offices across the nation, are unparalleled in the knowledge of the movement of freight and people, and unmatched in technical and managerial services. We provide full-scale professional services to both public and private sector transportation clients.  Our Engineering Interns will work within our highway, structural, rail and construction divisions.  This role with offer the ability to actively interact with our teams as we work develop plans, designs and construct for our clients in various disciplines including states and municipalities, freight railroad, passenger rail and transit, airports and air carriers, and federal government projects. 

Primary Responsibilities (others may be included):

  • Bridge Plan Sheet Development
  • Bridge Design / Bridge Load Rating Analysis
  • Bridge Inspection
  • Assist regional office in various tasks related to Structural Engineering including design, analysis, reports, and plan production.
  • Provide weekly status updates
  • Attend weekly project and/or team meetings
  • Will learn proficiency in computer-aided drafting and design software. (Bentley Microstation and Open Roads Designer)
  • Works well independently and in team environment
  • Commitment to quality work and timely communication

What you bring to our firm:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Must be eager to learn, be flexible and be a team player.
