BMM is currently seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to work as a Tax Season Intern for the 2024 Tax Season (January – April 2025). The position begins on Thursday, January 2, 2025 and ends on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Candidate will be responsible for performing a wide variety of accounting and tax assignments as well as some administrative duties.
Duties:
• Preparation of federal, state and local income tax returns including those with multiple states
• Preparation of correspondence with various regulatory agencies
• Performance of other general accounting, audit, and tax duties as needed
• Administrative tasks at our Main Street office such as greeting clients, calling clients, scanning documents, etc.
Requirements:
• Pursuit of Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Proficiency with MS Office Applications
• Strong organizational, time and stress management skills to work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between Kokomo offices
