2025 BOLT Intern - Accounting (Corporate Controller Group) - Colorado Springs, CO

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • The intern will work closely with Kinder Morgan professionals, specifically focused on the preparation of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Form No. 2 and 3-Q financial statement reports: through on the job training and hands-on assignments including, but not limited to, coordination of FERC Form 3-Q reports, process improvements, ad hoc reconciliations and preparation of supporting documentation, research and review.
  • The intern will have the opportunity to work with two or more functional areas of Kinder Morgan: Standalone and Segment Accounting, Accounting Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist in quarterly reporting process
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly standalone FERC Form No. 2 and 3-Q, and SEC segment Statement of Cash Flow

Position Requirements:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Entering either sophomore, junior or senior year of college.  Senior students must be graduating in December 2025 or later to be eligible.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, MS Word, & Outlook
  • Ability to learn, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to deadlines
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills: listens intently; writes and speaks clearly
  • Takes initiative, highly adaptive, pays attention to detail, and works efficiently
