Architectural and Engineering Intern

Architectural and engineering interns working for OGS will be involved in the management and execution of Construction projects thought the portfolio of projects managed by the Division of Design and Construction. These projects may range in size from $100,000 to $100 Million and encompass all trades of construction. The student assistant will work with field staff to support construction inspection efforts, assist with project control and contribute to collecting field data to address design issues and field conditions.

The Division of Design provides a full range of high quality architectural and engineering management services to State agencies through an interdependent model of public and private sector resources, in a timely, efficient, responsive and cost-effective manner thereby enabling those agencies to fulfill their own diverse missions on behalf of the people of the State. We deliver high quality, cost effective, and timely capital projects for our clients in which we set the standard in Design and Construction Services while building the foundation of New York.

Research, Field Investigations, CAD Drafting, computer modeling, preparation of spreadsheets and reports, attendance in project related meetings, filing, development of calculations and presentations.
