Researcher / Technician (Data Analyst)

Location: Bethel with relocation out of state.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Researcher/Technician for our R&D team to co-lead the battery testing for R&D Franchise team. Franchise R&D Researchers/Engineers at Duracell pull it all together to drive business growth through Innovation. The Franchise R&D researcher will leverage performance, and quality of our products and technical capabilities to further strengthen our product stories by helping regional franchise SPOCs. They contribute to the design, development, and execution of product innovations that better serve the end consumer and the business.

As part of this team, you'll be responsible for managing and executing battery testing according to the testing plans, samples submission and data collection using proprietary software. You'll maintain sample inventory, organize the data, perform statistical analyses to analyze the data from Duracell's battery testing labs, develop insights, and present findings to stakeholders. The role also involves automating processes and enhancing data accessibility. Strong statistical skills, organizational prowess, attention to detail, independence, and cross-functional teamwork are essential. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-lead testing needed for current & future business support. 
  • Streamline all Franchise testing via the same process/prioritization. Collaborate with the SPOCs to ensure test plans are executed. 
  • You will also need to work independently and complete deliverables in advance of deadlines, as well as work cross functionally with associates from other departments to achieve desired goals. 
  • Support device data inputs to the Power BI visual dashboard (or another platform) and further develop visualizations, statistical analysis. 
  • Well-versed in testing methodologies, the nature of generated data, and statistical analysis techniques (e.g., JMP, MS Office Suite, Excel proficiency). Programming experience is also a plus. 
  • Organize data and create a method to improve searching capabilities.
  • Familiarity with MS Excel to summarize data and produce reports.
  • Must be well organized and able to accurately handle a large amount of data and daily information.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, mathematics preferred. Minimum of Associate degree required. 
  • Proficiency in multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines is essential. 
  • A robust statistical background, exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to adhere to detailed instructions are required. 
  • You must also work independently, deliver tasks ahead of schedule, and collaborate with colleagues from various departments to accomplish set objectives. 
  • Must be an adaptable learner that is proficient in quickly grasping new ideas, maintaining productivity under stress, and using strong drive to address complex challenges. Committed to continuously improving technical skills through initiative and self-directed learning opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities, capable of explaining intricate technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with a proactive attitude toward identifying and addressing issues.

  • Problem-solving skills and opportunity identification.
  • Demonstrated capability in handling battery performance data from Duracell systems. 

Relocation: The job will start in Bethel, CT and then transfer to another state.
