IU OT seeks two motivated, organized IU OTD Class of 2027 students with excellent verbal and written communication skills to support clinical faculty research projects and complete general office tasks such as filing, scanning, printing, and more as an OT Office & Research/Media Assistant.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Student will provide support related to the research and scholarship agenda of clinical faculty. In addition to this role, student will perform other office tasks as assigned, including but not limited to filing, scanning, printing, cleaning, and maintaining office and classroom inventory of supplies and equipment. Traits such as confidence, initiative, kindness, dependability, and flexibility are desired.

Tools and Equipment Used: 

Standard office equipment such as phone, printer, copy machine, and scanner. Must be comfortable with Microsoft Office suite and display a willingness to learn new systems as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • SHHS OTD Class of 2027 student with the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities, as outlined below.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Research experience is a plus, but is not required
  • Working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing. Specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Canva.
  • Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
  • Ability to effectively meet and communicate with the public, including faculty, staff, and students.
  • Ability to make independent judgments which have minor impacts on the organization.
