IT Associate Project Manager

As an IT associate project manager within our IT organization, you’ll contribute to projects integral to company success. In this role, you’ll gain hands on experience in all phases of project management, from initiation and planning up to execution and closing. Supporting other project managers, you’ll handle daily management of projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Working closely with a mentor and other technology leaders, you’ll gain experience creating project information repositories, facilitating meetings and working with project stakeholders.

Must-have qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline (e.g. Business Administration Management, Computer Science) or a related field of study (e.g. MIS – Management Information Systems)
• In lieu of a degree, a HS diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of 1-year related experience leading or facilitating projects in application development, infrastructure, process, or similar

Preferred skills

• Ability to work under direct supervision in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Technical aptitude with the ability to learn and understand new technologies (e.g, Agile, Scrum)
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to engage others in achieving well-defined goals (PMP – Project Management Professional Certification is a plus, but not required)
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
