Regulatory Affairs Intern

This position provides product regulatory support for our businesses in North America and limited export regions functioning as part of the global HERA (Health, Environmental, Regulatory Affairs) shared service.  The primary support functions for this position involve researching product regulatory requirements, retrieving regulatory related product information from various internal sources, populating regulatory data into IT systems, reviewing product labels for compliance and processing regulatory reports for state/province and federal agencies.

Location: ICL North America Headquarters, St. Louis, MO.

Semester(s) Offered: Summer (June - August) 2025 OR Spring/Summer (January - August) 2025. For those open to Spring/Summer 2025, part-time hours are an option during the Spring semester for those not wanting to take a semester off of school.

Hourly Pay Rate: $27.50/hour

 

I’m interested!  What will I get to do in this position?

  • Interfaces with HERA team members, Business Management, Marketing, Sales, R&D and other functions to obtain necessary information in an efficient, and timely manner.
  • Performs regulatory compliance assessments for raw materials, finished products and imports.
  • Reviews finished regulatory and technical documents, safety data sheets and labeling.
  • Actively participates in the new / revised product process.
  • Populates product regulatory data in SAP substance database and other ancillary systems.
  • Assists with regulatory archive data organization initiatives.
  • Interfaces with colleagues in other regions.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Horticulture or similar sciences.
  • Completed sophomore year in college.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and participate in multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Suite applications with proficiency in Word and Excel.
  • The ability to function in a team environment as a contributor.
