Supply Chain Intern

Description:

Supply chain process improvements and support. Position may cover areas in manufacturing or distribution such as demand planning, resource planning, purchased material planning, scheduling, material flow, information flow, inventory management, and/or transportation planning.

Responsibilities:

- Facilitate cross-functional teams having explicit objectives and scope

- Propose, implement, and support business tool and process enhancements

- Perform data analyses to support recommendations

- Ensure new processes integrate with existing processes.

- Train customers on new and modified processes.

Opportunities may Include:

- Utilize lean tools to lead and direct continuous improvement activities

- Define problems, collect and analyze data

- Recommend and implement effective solutions

- Improve material or information flow within a plant or distribution center

- Lead Time Improvements

- Raw or finished goods inventory Management

- Transportation process improvements

- Metrics programs for internal or external suppliers

Preferred Qualifications:

- Obtaining bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing technology, Industrial Engineering, Management Informational Systems (MIS)
