Entry Level – Hydrology and Hydraulics Engineer

Work with a project team under the direction of a professional engineer to solved different hydrology and hydraulics problems through drainage design, watershed modeling, stormwater management design, and hydraulic modeling. An entry level H&H engineer will perform specific drainage and stormwater design services including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, dam breach analyses, flood insurance studies, bridge and culvert hydraulics, and DEP permitting applications for different transportation projects. Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling will include the use of HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, Culvert Master, HY-8, SMS SRH-2D, and several other engineering software. Field visits will be conducted as necessary to collect data from drainage systems. Preferred candidate should have BSCE, and experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, TR-55 methodology, and some knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
