JOB DESCRIPTION:

Are you a clever, quick-thinking social media maven with a knack for TikTok? We’re looking for a creative producer and doer who thrives both in front of and behind the camera. If you’re spirited, love thinking on your feet, and have a flair for creating engaging informative content that captivates audiences, we want you on our team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Content Creation: Produce and edit quick, engaging social media clips that align with our brand and resonate with our audience.
  • On-Camera Presence: Be comfortable and confident appearing in TikToks, conducting interviews, and narrating content.
  • Behind-the-Scenes Work: Plan, shoot, and edit content, ensuring high-quality production and storytelling.
  • Interviews & Journalism: Conduct on-the-spot interviews with a journalistic mindset, bringing out the best in each story and subject.
  • Trend Spotting: Stay on top of TikTok trends and incorporate them into our content strategy to maximize reach and engagement.
  • City Savvy: Leverage your familiarity with Detroit to create content that speaks directly to the local audience.
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience creating and editing social media videos on platforms like TikTok, with a portfolio or examples to showcase.
  • Strong camera presence and comfort with both solo and interview-based content.
  • Quick thinker who can adapt to trends and respond to real-time content opportunities.
  • Background in journalism or a journalistic mindset is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Detroit and its culture.
  • Creative, proactive, and a true doer—someone who gets things done.
