What you’ll gain:
As a Manufacturing Operations Intern, you will gain valuable knowledge and experience in the field through hands-on activities, coaching, and projects. A few learning opportunities include:
- Process Optimization: Assisting in the analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Production Support: Supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations, including monitoring production lines, addressing operational issues, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Data Analysis: Collecting and analyzing production data to identify trends, track performance metrics, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assisting with the maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Quality Control: Helping with quality control processes, including inspecting products, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintaining and updating manufacturing documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and production reports.
- Project Involvement: Participating in projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes, implementing new technologies, or enhancing overall operations.
- Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance, to support manufacturing operations and achieve production goals.
What you need to be successful:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a field related to the internship
- Minimum GPA requirement of a 3.0
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic project management or organizational skills.
