As our Software Engineering/Computer Science Intern, you will spend a good portion of your time utilizing your ideas and efforts to work on challenging and personally rewarding projects that build on and broaden your skills, which will help prepare you for future roles as leaders and innovators. To help you do this, you will partner with your manager and mentor with the team you join, as well as a “buddy” from a different department for additional MISO connections. You will enrich your education by taking part in “lunch and learns” to understand how other MISO departments help keep the lights on. To round out your internship experience, you will give back to the community with a community service project, participate in social events, and have the ability to network with a lot of hardworking and diverse people!
Our Interns experience a high-profile opportunity to present the results of their projects, including making recommendations to department team members and company leadership. Internships are available in Carmel, Indiana and Eagan, Minnesota.
Interns are paid a competitive rate and housing options are provided for students who qualify.
As our MISO Software Engineering/Computer Science Intern, you will…
- Participate in projects that build on and broaden your technical skills and will prepare you for future roles as leaders and change agents
- Work an average of 40 hours per week in one of our offices
- Start on May 28th, 2025, and end on August 8th, 2025
We are looking for students who….
- Have completed their sophomore or junior year of college
- Demonstration of MISO Core Values: Integrity, Commitment, Collaboration, Creativity, and Adaptability
Majors/Areas of Interest:
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Programming experience in one of the following: Java, Python, Spring Boot, Angular, GIT, SQL, TDD, JavaScript
