Business Analyst

Oak Point Partners is looking to hire a soon-to-be or recent college graduate to join our growing operations team as a full-time Business Analyst. This role is relied upon to perform a variety of process-driven activities, including corporate research, data analysis, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include but not limited to the following:

  • Corporate Research: Understand asset purchase agreements, perform detailed corporate entity research, and document the outcome/findings. 
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify and pursue revenue opportunities.
  • Process Optimization: Document and analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improved productivity and efficiency. 
  • Technology Initiatives: Perform user acceptance testing on new features and provide recommendations to improve our technology platform.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, as well as an interest in data analysis
  • Motivated with a strong desire to learn new skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to keep information organized
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products such as SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively present information to stakeholders at all levels
  • Naturally curious, with the ability to adapt and become a subject matter expert on various operational processes 
  • Agile Skills: Adaptable and capable of working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Goal oriented with clear understanding of achieving SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timebound) performance goals

Education/Experience/Certifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, economics, data analysis, or a related field
  • 3.5 Undergraduate GPA or higher
  • Prior internship is preferred

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment, utilizing computer equipment for extended periods.
  • Hours: Starting out this will be a full-time in-office role with the option to go hybrid after an introductory period. The company’s standard workweek is 40 hours with standard hours between 8 am – 6 pm. This role may require after-hours work.

Compensation
Annual salary is $50,000 to $65,000, depending on prior work experience. Other Benefits include:

  • Oak Point has a hybrid work policy that is implemented at each group level. This role requires an in-office presence of at least two days each week in our Skokie, IL office.
