About CoachCorner: CoachCorner (www.CoachCorner.io) is on a mission to empower youth sports programs to reach their fullest potential. Given the unprecedented demand for youth sports across the US, CoachCorner strives to provide a platform that not only connects teams with qualified coaches but also fosters a community where youth sports coaches can share opportunities and resources. Co-founded by a Northwestern 2016 graduate and an Indiana University Business School alumnus, CoachCorner is leading the charge to address the crucial need for skilled coaches in American youth sports.

We are cashflow positive. As we navigate a pre-seed round of startup fundraising, we are excited to offer a unique opportunity for enthusiastic and entrepreneurial interns to join our remote team, with occasional in-person meetups in Chicago.

Position: Business Development, Marketing, and Finance Intern

Location: Remote (with occasional meetups in Chicago, IL)

Expected hours: 10-25 hours per week, flexible

Internship Duration: 2-3 months

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to support youth sports programs in reaching their fullest potential.
  • Contribute to strategies for expanding CoachCorner's presence in the youth sports coaching market, addressing the national "coaching shortage."
  • Engage with potential clients, build relationships, and contribute to the growth of our user base, meeting the unprecedented demand for youth sports during COVID-19.
  • Marketing:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement campaigns that highlight CoachCorner's role in addressing the coaching shortage and supporting the growth of youth sports programs.
    • Create engaging content for social media platforms to increase brand visibility and showcase how CoachCorner is meeting the current demands of the youth sports landscape.
    • Analyze marketing data and metrics to measure campaign success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Finance:
    • Support financial planning and analysis activities to ensure CoachCorner's sustainable growth in a rapidly changing youth sports environment.
    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, recognizing the financial dynamics influenced by COVID-19.
    • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and presentations for stakeholders as we navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the current sports landscape.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in business development, marketing, finance, and youth sports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with startup environments and an entrepreneurial mindset is a plus.
