Our multi-stage internship program is designed to help enterprising students apply their theoretical knowledge to create tangible business outcomes using AI technologies.

 

  • Position: Applied AI and Entrepreneurship Intern

  • Hours: 20 hours per week
  • Start Date: September 1st, 2024
     

Internship Overview:
This internship is entirely remote and consists of three progressive stages:
 

  • Research and Case Study Development (Stage 1):

Interns will conduct a comprehensive analysis of a cooperative business to identify potential AI implementation opportunities, including the use of advanced tools like Large Language Models such as ChatGPT. This stage requires developing a detailed case study with actionable recommendations, categorized into 'must', 'should', and 'could' actions, and delivering a report outlining AI strategies, potential market impact, and a go-to-market approach.

  • Implementation (Stage 2):

Interns who successfully complete Stage 1 will advance to Stage 2, where they will collaborate closely with the business to implement their proposed AI solutions. This stage includes support for obtaining additional funding to facilitate the implementation of AI strategies effectively.

  • Entrepreneurial Development (Stage 3):

In the final stage, interns will have the opportunity to create a standalone business based on the AI use cases developed in Stage 1. This stage involves developing a business model, raising capital, and launching the enterprise to serve similar businesses within the industry.


Compensation:

  • Stage 1 (30 Days): Unpaid
  • Stage 2 (60 Days): Recommended rate of $20 per hour, negotiable with the business partner.
  • Stage 3 (Permanent): Compensation will depend on the project's success during the entrepreneurial phase.

 

Eligibility and Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a university or community college in the United States.
  • Must secure a business willing to be the subject of a case study before acceptance into the program.
  • Strong interest in AI, technology, and entrepreneurship.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
