About the Position and Duties/ Responsibilities: 

The Tyler fellow supports and assists the Tyler Chair's research and studio production, particularly in printmaking.  Specific needs may vary each semester, but this assignment will include one or more tasks from the following lists:

  • Assisting with research (finding articles, documents, books online on specific topics)
  • Assisting with preparation of printmaking materials (gaining stones, coating and exposing screens, stretching paper, etc)
  • Assisting with production of printed editions in lithography, screen print and intaglio
  • Assisting with the chair's teaching needs when necessary
  • Assisting with archiving and organization of the chair's personal work and collection of prints
  • Assisting in the chair's personal studio (interdisciplinary work happens here…sculpture, painting, installation, etc.)

A successful candidate will:

  • Have experience in research
  • Be able to learn and adapt to required projects
