Combat System Test and Evaluation Engineer

Do you have strong problem solving and analytical skills, along with a strong sense of patriotism and desire to contribute positive change to the United States Naval Fleet? Join our Wallops Island (VA) Combat System (CS) Test & Evaluation (T&E) team where you'll assist in the planning and executing of system level test events, in accordance with specifications, to assess for quality, stability, and safety.

Responsibilities Include:

· Assist the Integrated Product Team (IPT) with Test Plan development.

· Develop and maintain test procedures based on system level specifications.

· Conduct System Level testing at Land Based Test Sites (LBTS) in accordance with approved test plans.

· Conduct System Functional Testing (SFT) onboard AEGIS Cruisers and Destroyers.

· Document deficiencies via Test Observation Reports (TOR).

· Provide technical assessment of deficiencies uncovered during testing to include support of root cause analysis and solution recommendations.

· Requires ability to represent information clearly to others – orally, in writing, and using appropriate visualization (e.g. graphs, charts, etc.)

· Work independently and interface professionally with other government agencies, contractors, and military personnel.

· Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.

· Travel to offsite test facilities and Naval Bases in support of testing.

· Ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance.

Required Qualifications: Pursuing a degree in STEM.
