Designed with simplicity and scalability in mind, Verkada gives organizations the real-time insight to know what could impact the safety and comfort of people throughout their physical environment, while empowering them to take immediate action to minimize security risks, workplace frustrations and costly inefficiencies.

As an Engineering Program Manager Intern on our Access Control Hardware team, you will work cross functionally to drive the development of a new access related product. You will work closely with various internal and external partners from early stages of development into mass production, ensuring we meet all project deliverables on time. You’ll make a big impact — your contribution will play a huge part in delivering a successful product to our customers!

Responsibilities

  • Partner with experienced engineers to lead end-to-end product development efforts; steer your program from requirements definition through to validation, certification, ramp-up, and sustaining.
  • Work closely with cross functional team members (i.e. mechanical, electrical, firmware, industrial design, supply chain) to craft and track program schedules and coordinate all deliverables.
  • Leverage your engineering foundation to de-risk development and clear hurdles related to technical challenges, testing, manufacturing, vendor collaboration, and more.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Available for a Winter Co-Op, starting around January 6th, for an extended term (8-12 months).
  • Technical knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical design and validation.
  • Strong presentation and organization skills and a track record of leading teams.
  • Desire to be hands-on.
  • Startup Mindset: As a fast-growing startup, every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth, and we want you to grow with us!
