Special Diets Intern

Join in our mission of providing life-changing experiences that enhance independence and self-esteem for children and adults with disabilities!

We provide 3 meals a day, 7 days a week May-August to a variety of individuals with extremely specific dietary needs. Interns will learn valuable skills to handle special diet requirements of our participants, staff, and volunteers. Spend your summer changing lives and gaining real life experience!

This is a residential, seasonal position started beginning of June 2025. Meals and on-site shared housing provided.

Location: Camp Friendship in Annandale, MN or Camp Courage in Maple Lake, MN

Pay: $15.00-15.91 per hour depending on tenure with True Friends

How You'll Contribute:

• Develop alternative menus
• Assist with meal preparation
• Communicate with caregivers regarding special diet requirements
• Answer special diet nutrition questions

What You'll Bring to the Table:

• Current enrollment in a dietetics program preferred
• Willing to live and work in a communal setting
• Motivated to work with individuals of all ages and abilities
• Possess good organizational skills
• Have a willingness to work independently
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
