Human Resources Intern
Merrick & Company is seeking a college Human Resources or Organizational Development student for a paid summer internship for Summer 2025 at our Greenwood Village, Colorado office. The summer internship has a commitment of approximately mid-May through mid-August 2025.
We will be accepting resumes for this opportunity from approximately September – November 2024. Resumes will be reviewed as they are received. Interviews will take place in the Fall/Winter. Offers will be extended in Winter/Spring. Timeframe subject to change.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Merrick Intern Program will provide an undergraduate student with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the functional areas of human resources and data analysis. The intern will be exposed to a variety of tasks in the areas of Compensation, Career Development, and HR Information Systems.
This position will have a strong emphasis on the compilation and evaluation of HR data such as headcount, employee demographics, turnover statistics, and compensation. There will also be an opportunity to assist with high priority projects such as job description development for career pathing. The intern will work closely with departmental mentors to establish a strong understanding of HR in a mid-sized, employee-owned, business consulting environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year of undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related programs with an HR emphasis/certificate.
- Must have completed at least some introductory human resources courses.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
- Local candidates only.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong aptitude in data compilation and analysis.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects at once.
- Self-starter willing to take initiative and pro-actively collaborate with others.
- Previous professional experience and knowledge of basic office etiquette.
