Electrical Engineer
- Specify, Design, Develop and Test hardware/software for use in automated welding systems
- Perform integration of AMET developed controls and customer specified mechanical systems
- Effectively work and collaborate with a team of electrical and mechanical engineers; Attending weekly Engineering group meetings, and offer support for project related challenges
- Participation in internal project kickoff meetings, production meetings, and project review meetings. Ability to offer input on project priorities and Engineering workload for setting schedules.
- Interface with Project Management, Procurement, Sales and Technical Support Teams to support Engineering & track delays that could impact schedules
- Be knowledgeable about contracts, project build requirements, and system specifications.
- Assist with system quality reviews throughout the build cycle, and support final Q/A of systems to ensure readiness for customer Factory Acceptance Testing.
- Work quickly and accurately against deadlines; self-starter; with attention to detail
- Maintain professional relationship and appearance with customers
- Work well with ever-changing priorities and/or situations
- Occasional Domestic and International travel required
Preferred Technical Skills/Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or strong equivalent experience
- C , C++ programming
- ExperienceEmbedded Hardware/Software Architecture, Design and Debugging Experience
- Experience with TI DSP’s, X86 and ARM Microcontrollers, Linux Operating System
- Experience in defining and developing user interfaces, graphical and non-graphical
- Digital, Analog and Power Hardware Experience.
- Controls Systems/Algorithm Design Experience.
- Experience with motors or actuators.
- Experience in system integration.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems.
- Minimum 3 years experience preferred
