Design Studio Intern
Inteva Design Studio Interns get the chance to learn about the Creative Design Team's role in supporting a manufacturing company, gain hands-on experience, and work on meaningful projects that make an impact. The intern in this role will work with the Creative Design team out of Inteva's World Headquarters in Troy, MI.
Inteva’s Summer 2025 Intern Program includes more than your day-to-day work. Your experience will include supplemental learning and development opportunities, such as executive lunch-and-learns and professional workshops. You will support Inteva’s core value of caring for the world and our communities with group volunteering opportunities throughout the summer. Most importantly, you will have fun, learn, and grow as part of a cohort of summer interns.
What will you get to work on?
- Contribute to all studio projects, apply design best practices, and bring new and innovative workflows to enhance the quality and outcome of projects.
- Support the development of marketing campaigns with product renderings and illustrations, branding, and graphic assets, and motion graphics (video editing and animations).
- Design website and SharePoint layout proposals and work with internal teams to gather assets and content. Knowledge of website design desired.
- Work in collaboration with communications team to design exciting social media content, logos, flyers, and other mixed media as needed.
Requirements for this internship:
- Currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Transportation, Industrial, Graphic, Advertising Design, UX/Motion Graphics, or similar, with a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Demonstrate good visual thinking with strong aesthetic taste and conceptual thinking.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office tools.
- Working knowledge of 3D software (Autodesk Alias, VRED, Blender, Unreal Engine or similar) desired.
- Knowledge of VR/AR assets development desired.
- Creative problem-solving skills & initiative to seek out solutions.
- High energy creative professional with an eye for innovative approach to customer experiences and passion for staying up to date with the latest design and marketing trends and tools.
- Strong communication skills, excellent planning, organization, and multi-tasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to work well under pressure with competing deadlines and priorities.
