Engineering Intern

Inteva Manufacturing Engineering Interns get the chance to learn about Plant Engineerings’s role in supporting a manufacturing company, gain hands-on experience, and work on meaningful projects that make an impact. The intern in this role will work with the Plant Engineering team out of Inteva's Manufacturing Plant site in Gadsden, AL. 

Inteva’s Summer 2025 Intern Program includes more than your day-to-day work. Your experience will include supplemental learning and development opportunities, such as executive lunch-and-learns and professional workshops. You will support Inteva’s core value of caring for the world and our communities with group volunteering opportunities throughout the summer. Most importantly, you will have fun, learn, and grow as part of a cohort of summer interns.

What will you get to work on?

  • Gaining hands-on engineering experience through meaningful projects and work assignments in a manufacturing facility
  • Performing entry level engineering assignments
  • Assisting manufacturing through engineering support
  • Assisting with data collection and analysis
  • Collaborating with operators, trainers and engineers to streamline processes
  • Productivity improvement projects
  • Additional projects assigned based on team need and student focus
  • Summer interns typically work May - August

Requirements for this internship:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent major
  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior class standing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Preferred: Computer Programming experience (past work, class projects, university courses, etc. counts as experience)
