Position Title: WHWS Sports Announcer

Semester/Year: 2024-2025 Academic Year

Total Positions Available: 5

Supervisor: Greg Cotterill

Pay rate: $15 per hour

Hours per wk: up to 9 hrs

Start Date: August 30, 2024

End Date: May 5, 2025

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Play-by-play coverage and analysis of live sports broadcasts including soccer, field hockey, ice hockey, volleyball, baseball, and lacrosse.
  • Train and work with local professional sports broadcasters

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of sports terminology and rules.
  • Well-organized
  • Responsible
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Possess extremely strong communication skills and be willing to take initiative
  • Strong customer service orientation; positive, helpful, resourceful
  • Highly reliable, flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
