Private Equity Intern
As an intern with TRC, you will play a key role within our team. During the program you will contribute to contributing to various aspects of our investment process. Depending on your interest and skillset, we will have you focus on certain activities more. Your responsibilities will include:
Industry Research: conduct in-depth market research and analysis to pinpoint promising industries for potential acquisitions. Stay current with industry trends and market dynamics.
Deal Sourcing: assist in sourcing potential target companies through various channels, including online databases, industry contacts, and networking events.
Financial Modeling: engage in financial modeling and analysis of target companies, including developing financial projections and valuations.
Due Diligence: participate in due diligence processes, which may include reviewing financial documents, conducting interviews with management teams of the target companies, and analyzing operational aspects of target companies.
Presentations: prepare reports and presentations to convey findings to the investment team, investors, and other stakeholders.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Be prepared to assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects to support the search fund’s operations. For example, reviewing proprietary outreach data to find possible improvements in messaging or process.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in your Junior or Senior year, preferably majoring in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- A passion for entrepreneurship, investing, and learning about the private equity industry.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Seeking to work in investment banking, private equity, or a related financial services field after graduation (preferred).
