Director of Nursing

Banyan Treatment Centers (BTC) is recruiting a well-rounded Director of Nursing, licensed as an Registered Nurse to join our Clearbrook PA location. 

The Director of Nursing assists the medical director with assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care, meeting required nursing standards by license and state regulation, and the development and evaluation of nursing unit personnel.

 

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday- Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
  • Location: On-site presence required in Laurel Run, PA
  • Compensation: Competitive salary depending on education, licensure, and experience to be discussed during interview process

Essential Functions:

  • Manages all aspects of the Nursing Department including but not limited to day-to-day operations, payroll/time and attendance, scheduling, performance, corrective action, recruitment, onboarding and training.
  • Participates in Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan meetings.
  • Collects and records data in a comprehensive, accurate and systemic manner.
  • Knowledgeable of program policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to audit nursing department documentation to ensure that staff are correctly documenting in client electronic.
    medical record.
  • Collaborates with the medical staff to provide medical directed nursing care.
  • Communicates staff concerns and possible solutions to the Human Resources for all parties involved.
  • Schedules nursing department meetings on a monthly basis to provide supervision and evaluate departmental needs and procedures.
  • Manages the formulation of standards for client policies and procedures with regard to nursing department.
  • Ensures that nursing staff are supervising and instructing clients in medication self-administration, as ordered by the provider.
  • Serves as a nursing resource to other team members.
  • Manages time effectively for proper balance between administrative unit responsibilities and other program requirements.
  • Meets with Pharmacy Consultants on a monthly basis to ensure pharmacy requirements and regulations are being met.
  • Understands DEA requirements for medication ordering and works closely with Compliance Department regarding licensure.

  • Represents the nursing for all State Regulatory and Joint Commission audits.
  • Implements and monitors Infection Control Team, perform IC monthly reports and all monthly PI reporting.

 

Preferences:

  • MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • 2-5 years of work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health.
  • Experience with the EMR, KIPU, is preferred but not required.

 

Qualifications:

  • License to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of PA as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • BSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • 5 years of Management experience.
