About ZF Tuscaloosa:
ZF Chassis Systems Tuscaloosa produces the complete axle system assembly for Mercedes-Benz U.S. International where the world’s supply of GLE, GLE Coupe, and GLS SUVs are manufactured. ZF Chassis Systems Tuscaloosa is the largest Tier 1 supplier for MBUSI with our products accounting for approximately 10% of the entire vehicle.
About the HR Team:
The ZF Tuscaloosa Human Resource team supports the Tuscaloosa plant by creating/preparing KPI reports, forecasting metrics, implementing/coaching policies and procedures, and analyzing data to identify areas of potential improvement. Based on these analyses, we work with all functions to strategize the work environment for a stronger moral.
About the Internship:
The Human Resource Intern will learn the positions within HR from the ground-up through shadowing and task-transfer. This position mostly deals with projects needed at the time of hire, but it will have distinct responsibilities to report out for as well as be the backup for the HR team and support EHS. Some of the responsibilities include managing the file system, updating processes and flow-charts, managing the badge system, assisting in payroll, participating in onsite events, and leading outreach & community involvement initiatives.
General Requirements:
• Majoring in: Business Management or other HR related studies
• Available to work 15 – 25 hours a week during the school year and 40 during the summer
• Able to work in a cross-functional team atmosphere
• Enthusiastic about participating in the Interns & Young Professionals’ community outreach projects as well as internal improvement projects
• Good communication skills.
Additional Qualifications (preferred but not required):
• Degree specification in Human Resources
• Previous relative experience or internship
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel
• Technical experience
