Description
The North Carolina Coordinated Campaign is recruiting Organizing Fellows to ensure that Vice President Harris and Democrats up and down the ballot secure victory in November. This is an educational opportunity for anyone seeking to learn more about politics and the political system. Fellows will support staff in areas including volunteer recruitment and voter contact tactics. Fellows will have the opportunity to experience a hands-on learning environment with the goals of making them successful in their future endeavors, particularly in political work, and providing support to the Coordinated Campaign.
They will have the opportunity to train with state and national headquarters, cultivate mentor relationships and networking, and gain valuable education and experience. Experience is not required. Fellowships run from September 3rd until November 15th, for 20 hours per week. Fellows will receive a stipend. This position is not eligible for the CWG Bargaining Unit.
Responsibilities
● Volunteer recruitment and phone banking
● High traffic canvassing, door-to-door canvassing and tabling
● Maintaining a volunteer community that engages voters online
● Participate in weekly training opportunities led by the DNC and Biden for President ● Learn how the Coordinated Campaign and North Carolina Democratic Party work together and with other campaigns to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. ● Other duties as assigned.

Stipend:

Fellows will work 20 hours per week and receive $3600 total in stipends for their work over the work per. Stipends will be paid in two increments, one at the midway point and the second at the end of the fellowship.
