Sustainability Intern
About the Job:
The Sustainability Intern will support the Health, Safety, & Sustainability team in shaping positive environmental impact across TMH’s four sustainability pillars: establishing a carbon-neutral society, promoting a circular economy, establishing a society in harmony with nature, and promoting environmental management.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you will perform functions including:
- Assist in driving sustainability performance and help promote responsible business practices.
- Collect, interpret, and analyze data on energy consumption, waste management, carbon emissions, and other sustainability metrics
- Participate in a cross-functional working group working on the calculation of Scope 3 emissions.
- Assist in preparing corporate reports and presentations on ESG initiatives and performance.
- Identify areas for improvement in carbon reduction and operational efficiency.
- Research best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in sustainability.
- Assist with other projects as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in or currently working towards degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of basic business software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Gives attention to detail and follows instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management; maximizes productivity.
- Prepares written materials to meet purpose and audience.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external parties.
