Family Partner (Reception Center) (Reception Center)

Overview

Reports To: Program Director

Classification: Non-Exempt

Schedule: Awake Overnight: Sunday-Thursday 10:30pm-6:30am

Rate of Pay: $18.83/hour base with additional $1.50 pay differential for overnight and holiday hours. *Overnight/awake hours consists of all hours worked between 10:30p-6:30a*

Program Summary

The CEDARS Reception Center Program offers a safe, community-based environment for probation officers and law enforcement to conduct initial assessments and access expanded intake assessments, as well as support and referrals for youth and their families. The center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week with immediate intervention services conducted on-site as needed. 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Nebraska State Probation and local law enforcement to provide a safe and comfortable environment for conducting screenings and assessments in the least restrictive manner possible
  • Initiate an individualized screening and assessment process to be submitted to the courts and used in the case management process
  • Provide assistance to the youth by connecting them with community-based resources
  • Support the family in meeting their needs

Job Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, human services, or a related field
  • Experience working with youth involved in the juvenile justice system and their families
  • Must have a genuine interest in working with and advocating for at risk youth and families
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Knowledge and experience providing trauma-informed care
  • Autonomous worker who can manage time wisely
  • Excellent documentation and computer skills
