Student Administrative Assistant
Overview: The Midwest and Plains Equity Assistance Center is uniquely positioned as one of four equity assistance centers in the country, dedicated to ensuring an equitable education for all K-12 public school students. We make a difference in the lives of millions of students in our 13-state region of coverage, focusing on four areas of desegregation: race, sex, national origin, and religion.
We work directly with school districts and state education agencies in order to eliminate inequities among and between groups of students, as well as produce a wide variety of equity-focused multimedia products.
Position summary: As a Student Administrative Assistant (SAA), you will work for the Center on diverse projects, showcasing and building skills in a variety of areas, adding valuable assets to your resume. You will report directly to the Office Coordinator of the Center, but may be asked to assist the Center Director or Project Managers.
This is a Work Study funded position.
Duties include:
Work with spreadsheets, forms, and e-marketing platform
Create, design and edit a variety of documents in Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher
Professionally represent the Center with students, staff, visitors, and general public
Research and prepare vital documents
Manage Center calendar
Assist in maintaining integrity of important files and documents
Perform office maintenance duties
Run general errands around campus
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
Organized
Detail Oriented
Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and tasks
Balance working independently and collaboratively
