Development & Marketing Intern
I. JOB SUMMARY
Join our Chief Development Officer (CDO), Development Officers, and Development Coordinator; for a well-rounded introduction into nonprofit development work. The Development Intern will support fundraising efforts by managing and cultivating relationships with donors and coordinating with volunteers.
The ability to maintain warm, positive relationships between the volunteers, community partners, and MCHS programs is essential. Maintaining a positive and amenable working relationship with all liaisons from various funding sources, program staff and personnel from each volunteer site is required.
II. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Help secure in-kind donations and gifts for special annual events including Gala, year-round program events, different campaigns, etc.
Support donor/volunteer-based activities for all programs at MCHS.
Support MCHS special fundraising event logistics.
Help maintain and update donor database.
Build rapport and positive working relationships with MCHS programs and operations staff in support of ongoing donor and volunteer efforts for our clients.
Represent the agency to outside groups and organizations, including business, community, and media events.
III. BASIC COMPETENCIES
Education and Experience
College Undergraduate or Graduate students with emphasis in their studies on Nonprofit Administration, Business, English, Communications, and/or Public Relations are encouraged to apply.
Must meet the State’s Moral Character standard.
Knowledge Requirements:
Computer and software applications (All MS Office).
Tactical planning and organizing.
