Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 0-3 years of experience, preferably with some focus on personal injury law, to join our expanding law firm. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your legal career by representing individuals in personal injury claims and gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. You will work alongside experienced personal injury attorneys who will provide mentorship and guidance as you grow in your practice.
We are currently expanding our practice to new states such as: OH, FL, AZ, MI, IL, TX, NC, SC, GA, CA, KY. We are looking for potential candidates in these locations as well, who would like to be at the forefront of our expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, working under the supervision of senior attorneys, from case initiation through resolution.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies to support the negotiation process and facilitate the progression of cases.
- Participate in depositions, court hearings, mediations, and arbitration proceedings, building litigation skills and experience.
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Stay informed on developments in personal injury law and legal trends to provide up-to-date counsel and support to the team.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license (or pursuing) to practice law in NJ, NY, PA, CT, MA, VT, OH, NC, SC, MI, FL, TX, CA, KY, IL, GA, AZ.
- 0-3 years of experience, with some exposure to personal injury law preferred.
- Strong legal research and writing skills, with experience drafting legal documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to learn from senior attorneys.
