Regional Field Coordinator
We are currently filling a variety of positions for this fall, including:
- Regional Field Coordinator and Support Team Members
- Upstate Social Media/Communications Director and Support Team Members
Time Commitments:
- Generally, we are looking for commitments between 4-12 hours per week, or 120 hours over the course of the semester.
- Full-time positions may be available for the right candidates.
Compensation:
- Compensation varies depending on the role and whether it is an internship for class credit.
- Class credit/internship programs include educational components such as communication training (e.g., drafting press releases, contacting reporters, drafting white papers for officials) and offer either a weekly stipend or hourly rate.
- We aim to match opportunities to the student's needs, interests, and abilities, and compensation is provided for all positions.
Location:
- Currently, our only office is in Columbia
- Most positions will involve limited travel in the region. For example, field positions will attend political and community meetings on behalf of the organization, help set up FFC-SC events or have individual meetings with pastors and community leaders.
Qualities of an Ideal Candidate:
- Well-Spoken and Professional: All positions will, in some form, reflect on the organization and involve interacting with the public.
- Outgoing and Comfortable with Public Speaking: While not all positions require public speaking, comfort in this area is beneficial.
- Passionate: A strong interest in making a positive difference in our community, state, and nation and working with faith-based organizations.
- Independently Motivated, Hard-working, and Goal-Oriented: Candidates should be self-driven and dedicated to achieving goals.
- Strong Writing Skills: Not necessary, but particularly valuable for specific positions.
One of our goals with this program is to identify talented young people to hire or help place in full-time positions in the political space in the future.
