In-Person Winter Camp Director

Overall, we are looking for a team member who is passionate about education and who, like us, wants to make a difference in the world. Program Leads are the front-facing members of our team to our campers. We are looking for Program Leads who love to have fun and are not afraid to act silly with a group of campers who are looking for a beneficial and fun escape with Ivy Camps USA.

Date Range -

  • December 6, 2024 – January 9, 2025
    • Applicants can choose between 1 week and 4 week options

Compensation -

  • Flight Stipend + $1,000 – $4,000
    • Based on program length
  • Housing: Provided
  • Transportation To and From Work: Provided
  • Team Bonding Activities: Sponsored by Ivy Camps USA

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in all required trainings before the start of camp
  • Train and manage all instructors and teaching assistants
  • Work anywhere from 40-50 hours per week, more or less, including overseeing day to day operations, camp preparations, meetings, and all other job responsibilities
  • Set up camp and fill out all necessary paperwork
  • Facilitate communication with parents on-campus and through designated camp phones during camp hours.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors and perform tasks as needed by supervisors
  • Ensure camper safety throughout the camp
  • Ensure effective camper pick-up and drop-off
  • Ensure Ivy Camps USA delivers a high quality product to all customers

Qualifications

  • Must have driver’s license
  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Currently in their final year or have graduated from a Bachelor’s Degree program
  • Enrolled in or graduated from Master’s Degree program preferred
  • Previous experience teaching/tutoring required, especially with children
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a self-directed capacity, must be proactive, take ownership and have a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the ability to follow specific instructions with little expertise
  • Desire to work in a startup environment with new concepts and models
  • Ability to adapt to working in varied/dynamic situations
  • Excellent team-player
