Salary Range: $40,000-$55,000

Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our high school teaching team for the academic year 2024-2025.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons to students from Grades 9 to 12.
  • Develop and implement inspiring lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school's curriculum program and show written evidence of preparation as required.
  • Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
  • Present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, with adherence to curriculum and standards.
  • Assess and analyze student progress and modify instructional activities as required.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.

Other Responsibilities: Additional responsibilities identified as needed and/or assigned and approved by the Mathematics Department Chairperson and the Vice Principal for Academics

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification for High School Mathematics. (Preferred but not required)
  • Proven experience as a Mathematics teacher at the secondary level (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
